Make sure the vehicle is completely cool. Disconnect the battery ground and then isolate it avoid accidental contact with the terminal during this procedure.

Step 2
Put the vehicle on a rack or raise the front of the vehicle on supports. Verify the security of the supports. Remove the front wheels and tires.

Step 3
Loosen the fasteners that hold the ends of the sway bar. Remove the nuts and bolts from the brackets.

Step 4
Take the stabilizer (sway) bar from the vehicle. Be careful that no proximate cables get caught on the bar.

Step 1
Set the new stabilizer bar in place. Finger-tighten the bolts to the brackets.

Install the fasteners to the outer ends of the stabilizer bar. Tighten the nuts by hand. Be sure to position the washer collars away from the bushings with the cone-shaped side of the bushings is oriented toward the washers.

Step 3
Install the front wheels. Lower the vehicle and bounce it several times to allow it to stabilize.

Step 4
Torque the nuts to 15 foot pounds. Connect the negative battery cable to the terminal. Test drive the vehicle to verify proper steering and handling.
